SUPERANNUATION BOARD.

THE POLICE REPRESENTATIVE. Voting for tho election of a police representative on the Public Service Superannuation Board\ closed on May 31, and members of the foroe were given a fortnight within which to return their voting papers. The' aspirants for tho position were Inspector Ellison, of Wellington, Sergt. Dart, director of tho Police Training Depot, "Wellington, and Chief Detective Herbert, of Dunedin. The result of the poll was announced yesterday, and is as under:— * Inspector Ellison 355 Sergeant Dart 249 . Chief Detective Herbert 96 There were 76S names on the roll. The scrutineers were Mr. C. E. Matthews, chief clerk of the Police Department, and Mr. M. Fraser, accountant of tho Public Servico Superannuation Board. Mr. Amelius Smith, secretary of the Superannuation Board, acted as returning officer.
