Router's correspondent a,t Bucharest reports that a crowd of Greeks at Piraeus (tho port of Athens) boarded 'and looted the Rumanian mail steamer Imperatul Traian, 3303 tons, employed in the Rumanian State Maritime Service. Princess Mario of Rumania (wifo of Prince Ferdinand, heir to the Rumanian throne) and her youngest son, Prince Nicholas, were ,aboard the Imperatul Traian at the time. The Greeks deny the looting, and state that the boatmen at Piraeus boarded the steamer for the purpose of rescuing a Greek deserter. The Ottoman Minister at Athens has strongly protested against the maltreat- . ment of Turks aboard the Imperatul Traian. POLITICS AND MURDER. CHAEGE AGAINST COMMITTEE OF UNION. (Rec. A sensation has been caused by the publication of a facsimile letter, written by Ahmed Samin befovo ho was murdered, informing his friends that the Committee of Union and Progress had sentenced him to death. The murdor occurred a few days after the letter was written. . [The Committee of Union and Progress was the secret organisation by means of which the Young Turks directed the revolution. Afterwards it was announced that the Committee would drop secrecy and work in daylight. It is generally believed that the Committee controls Turkish politics and makes and unmakes Cabinets.] CRETAN ASSEMBLY MUST BEND OR BREAK. FOREIGN DICTATORSHIP MAY BE REVIVED. (Eec. June IC, 0.30 a.m.) v London, June 15 The "Daily Mail" states that tho Protecting Powers (Britain, France, Russia, and Italy) propose to dispatch warships to Suda Bay (anchorage in North Crete), to'dissolve the Cretan Assembly, and to revive the dictatorship of the foreign Admirals, if the Hellenic members of tho Assembly persist in excluding the Mos-
lem members.
