;The' export of- dairy produce from Patea this season amounts to about 10,000 tons, mostly cheese. Ten .years vago the total export of cheese froni New Zealand ■ was only. 4900 tons, and eleven years ago the export of dairy produce for all New Zealand was 7018 tons, considerably less . than- Patea now ships-. ' .'The Havelock Dairy Factory, Marlborough, closed down on June 4 after a ■ longer season than any. since its establishment. The payments for May milk supplies aggregated' .£268 14s. 7d. One agent has 90,000 .cases of, apples stored in Melbourne for the early spring market. In . some of., the refrigerating chambers cases of Bou Chretian pears are id excellent condition after three months' - storage. Mr. C. R..G. Macdonald, Ingleburn, has sold a Jersey bull calf, registered as Madeira's King, by Brighton King (imp.), to Mr. W. W. Wren, of Bega. The high' price for pork in London has created a big demand for freezing space in the cold stores at Melbourne. Just about the cleverest machine invented to keep milk cool' and sweet, and to preserve the-dairyman his true test, is ENG'S AUTOMATIC AGITATOR and COOLER, to be demonstrated at the Palmerston Show.
