Mr. M'Kenna, First Lo-rd of the Admiralty, speaking at" North Monmouthshire, said that in the present condition of national feeling it was best that a truce should reign, but the Liberals were unable to abandon any matter of principle. He pleaded in this time of truce that the Navy should never again bo made a subject of an electioneering battle. THE CONFERENCE. STATEMENT BY PRIME MINISTER, London, June 13.
