The Norwegian steel barque Turist,' 777 tons gross, bound from Rio Grande to Surprise Islands, drifted ashoro near Dumbea Point, while waiting for orders. She is a total loss. The crew reached hero 6afely. [The Turist was built in 1892 by r the Grangemouth Dockyard Company, Grangemouth. Dimensions: Length '192 feet 5 •inches, beam 32 feet 3 inches, depth 16 feet .3. inches.]
