PLAGUE.

SUSPECT ISOLATED AT AUCKLAND. It was reported in Wellington yesterday that twfl additional cases of plague had been discovered at an important public institution at Auckland. When seen in regard to tho matter, the Hon. D. Buddo (Minister for Public. Health) stated that the rumour was not correct. It was a fact, however, that a suspect had been isolated and that a bacteriological examination was being made, but so far the diagnosis was not complete. Mr. Buddo added that if it turned out to be i plague the fact would bo made public without delay.
