Bridges has been appointed Commandant of the Military College, with" the rank of BrigadierGeneral. The salary is £1200 a-year. [William Tbrosby Bridges, Colonel K.A.A., was formerly Chief of Intelligence on the Commonwealth Military Board.' According to "John's Notable Australians," he was.horn at Greenook, Scotland, in ISGI, his father being Captain W. S. Bridges, E.N. He was educated at the Royal .Military College of Canada, Kingston. From 1883 to 1902 he was Chief Instructor, of Gunnery and Firemaster in New South Wales, and in ISO 2 was appointed Assistant, QuartermasterGeneral Headquarters Staff, and in 19M Acting-deputy Adjutant-General and Chief Staff Officer. He served in the South African War.]
