King George replied that Queen Mary and he had the most agreeable recollection of tlie visit they (when Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York) paid to Australia. . The King also gave audieuces to Sir Richard Solomon (South African High Commissioner), Lord Strathcona (Canadian High Commissioner), and the Hon. W. Hall-Jones (New'Zealarid High Commissioner). ' Mr. Hall-Jones expressed New Zealand's deep sympathy and loyalty, and her wishes for a long and prosperous reign for the King. King George, in replying, thanked the people of New Zealand, and recalled his very pleasant visit to the Dominion.
