TARANAKI OIL.
(BORES NEVER WORKED BETTER. (By Teleeranli-Press .Usociatlonj Hew Plymouth, June 11. Reports from the works of the TaraJiaki Petroleum Company have never been more encouraging than to-day. During yesterday there were several vigorous blow-outs at bore No. 3, and 'a very fair quantity of oil was saved. There, were three further'' blow-outs' this morning, one forcing" out over the.top of the derrick, and the other two smothering, the interior of the building- v The developments at No. 2 bore have never been more forcibly demonstrated than they were this morning. Mr. .Keith reports that ho has never known the well How so bard and consistently. One of -the blow-outs this morning lasted for more than an hour, and .during practically the whole of this time oil was being sent over the derrick. Everything is flooded, rendering work almost impossible. Operations ■ will probably have to bo suspended until JUonday. The oil is flowing well also from the Birthday well. Mr. Keith says the prospects were never more hopeful than at present at the three wells.
