o — Oat of respect to tho memory of the late Jlr. W. CofFcy, who took such a prominent part in connection with tho control of various branches of sport, including Rugby, the flag at the Athletic Park was flown at half-mast during the progress of tho games thoro on Saturday afternoon. Tho Ponoke team, in their match' against I'ctono on Saturday wore White arm bands as a mark of respect to tho memory of the deceased, who was a prominent member of the club. At a meeting of the Management Committee of the Now Zealand Rugby Union on Saturday afternoon, it was decided to send a letter of condolence to tho parents of the late Mr. W. Coffey, who had been a member of tho committee in former years. The N.Z. Rugby Union and various other athletic bodies with which the Into Mr. Coffey was connected will bo represented at his funeral which takes placo this aftcrnono.
