LIST OF UNDEFENDED CASES. DECREES GRANTED. Most of the divorce cases set down' for hearing at the present civil sittings of the Supreme Court were dealt with yesterday by the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout). Ethel May Lodge (Mr. Wilford) sued for divorce from John Leonard Stanmoro Lodge, on tho ground of desertion. A decree nisi was granted. Petition for divorce from Leonard .Alexander Hobbs was made by Christina Hobbs, who was represented by Mr. "Wilford. The grounds for the petition were cruelty and misconduct. A decreo nisi was granted, to be made absoluto in three months. Alleging habitual drunkenness on tho part of her husband, George William Lincoln Mac-Kay, Isabel May Mathcson Mackay mado application for divorce. Mr. Fair appeared for petitioner. Tho decreo asked' for was granted, to- bo made absolute in three months, and two infant 'children of the marriage were ordered to bo given into petitioner's custody. ■ Misconduct was alleged by Emily Victoria Firth, who sought dissolution of lior marriago with Arthur William George Firth, custodian of Thorndon Baths. Maria Wilson. Mr. A. Gray appeared for tho petitioner, and Mr. It. B. Williams for respondent, who, however, offered no defence.. A decreo nisi was granted, to be made absolute in three months. William Armitage, of Petone, petitioned for divorce from Ruth Armitage, on the ground of desertion. Tho decree was granted to be made absolute in three months. In petitioning for dissolution of marriage, Frances Cbnstanco Glover stated that, in 1597, she was married to tnu respondent, Walter Goodwin (Dover, and they resided first at Wainui-o-mata, and later in .Wellington. . ?.lisconduct on tho part of the husband occurred subsequently ; also desertion. _ Corroborative evidence not being forthcoming, the case was adjourned until this morning. Mr. Wilford appeared for the petitioner, and Str. Hordman for 'the respondent.
