KILLED BY LIGHTNING.
REGIMENT STRICKEN. By,TeleEraph—Press Association—OoDjrieln London, June; 8. Thunderstorms, accompanied by much rain, have been experienced during tjje last three, days in the south of England and Germany. Some isolated deaths have been reported. A woman was walking on the top of a cliff at Heme Bay, on the Kentish coast, when lightning struck a large'hatpin she was wearing, and gave her a severe shock. An infantry regiment at Konigsbruck, Saxony, was struck while parading. Three men were killed, and ten were severely, and five slightly, injured. Lightning damaged the auniy balloon factories and workshops at South Farnborough. DYNAMITE FACTORY BLOWN UP. EIGHTY INJURED. (Rec. June 9, 11.40 p.m.) Berlin, Juno 9. Lightning caused an explosion at a dynamite factory, near Cologne. The workmen had evacuated the pre--mises, foreseeing the storm. Eighty persons were injured.
