NEW METHODIST MISSION.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hatlfield hope to leave England with their family in October if Mr. Hadfield's health continues to improve.
« Needs of the new Methodist Central Mission, as prockimed by a recent newssheet and from the platform, have lwen met with an alacrity and enthusiasm which suggest that the mission has taken a strong hold upon public sympathies. Out of 55 chairs for the infants' department which were asked for. U have been supplied to date. A request for n pulpit Bible produced two suitable Bibles almost simultaneously—one from Mr..T. K. Corkill and another from a lady in Ashburton. Other donations havo been made as follow:—Flag for King's Theatre, Mr. E. G. Knight; notice boards, Mr. Collie; signwriting, Mr. Martin; open-air stand, timber given by an anonymous wellwisher, and stand constructed by another friend; table cover, with worked monogram, "W.C.M.," Mrs., Jfilligan; bookcase, Mr. Hester; communion service, Mr. W. W. Parkc.
