COLLEUE RIFLES.
The College- Rifles paraded at the Gar. rison Hall on Tuesday last for inspection by Major CD. Mackintosh. There was ail excellent muster, under Captain' Turner. 51 of all ranks being on parade. 'lininwlktely after inspection the company was dismissed out of respect to a lato member (Vrivato Kitchen), who lost his life in the Hutt Biwon Sunday last. Owing to ". vacancy in the ranks of tho N.C.O.'s, caused by Hie appointment of Colour-Sergt. Evatt t.-, a lieutenancy in the Wellington Guards, the following promotions were made:—Sergt. Felton, to be colour-sergeant; Corp. Thompson, to bo sergeant; Lance-Corp. Mac Donald, to be corporal-.
