London, Juno 6. It is understood the Royal Mail Steam Packet Company is purchasing the whole of tho Pacific Steam Navigation Company's sharo capital at par. ' [The Pacific Steam Navigation Company, so long identified with the South American trade, .was in 1840 incorporated by ixoyal Charter, receiving a small subsidy. Ihe company owns 14 ' steamers, aggregating 182,938 tons. The Royal Mail Steam Packet Company, trading to the Americas and the Last, was incorporated in 1839 by Ro.val Charter, with a subsidy of ,£240,0(10.
