LIVE STOCK SALES.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held their fortnightly sales at Wanganui on June 1, and at Waverley on June 4. The report states:—i\t Wanganui we had a small yarding of sheep, and a fair yarding of cattle. Bidding under the hammer was dull, but we effected a good clearanco afterwards. At Waverlcy we had a small yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding was hrißk, dnd, with the exception of one pen, we cffcctcd a total clearance. Quotations:—Wnng&iuii—Fan. ewes, in lamh, 95., 9s. 6d„ to 10s. 6(1.; small lambs, 6s. 10(1. to 7s. Brt.; storo cows, £2 Bs. 6d.; yearling heifers, £2 7s. 6ci.; dairy cows, £4 10s. to £5 ss. AVavcrley—Forward wethers, 14s. Bd.; raised lambs, Bs. 4d.; fat. cows, £5 75.; fat bullock, £7 os. 6d.; dairy cows, £5 to .£lO 55.; empty store, cows, £2 55., £2 125., to .£2 155.; 2J-yea,r steers. £4 65.; heifers in culf. £2 195.; empty heifers. £3 25.; yearling Jersey heifers. £3.
