(From Our Special Correspondent.) Sitting in civil jurisdiction at tho Lower Hntt Court yesterday, Sir. Hasel-. den, S.M., gave judgment for plaintiffs in tho following cases:—A. M. Lucas v. Walter Cooley, claim £1, with costs 155.; Annie Dcckston v. AV. J. Brannigan, claim M 19s. Gd., with costs £2 155.; Thomas Brent v. E. Stevens, claim £219s. Gd., with costs 55.; Hutt Borough Council v. A. AVcstbury, claim ,CG 125., with costs Ss.; .lair.es Stouehouse v. G. .1. Mitchell, claim JJo 15s. Id., with costs 195.; Commissioner of Taxes v. Arthur Pitt, renrcsenting Pitt, Holton, and Kerr, claim .£ls 10s. lid., with costs 18s. In the judgment summons ee.se of JI. A. AVestbnry v. Joseph C. Brewer, claim lis. Gd., defendant was ordered to pay as. per month, first payment to bo made on July G. There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Iliitt No-License League last evening. Mr. J. Jonlon was the speaker, and gave an interesting address on licensing matters. The following contributed to the programme:— Messrs. Rhardlow, Kayo, Rose, Wright (2), Howe, and Donaldson, Mesdamos Ferguson, Hunt, and AVrighl, and tho Misses Braddock, A?atkins, Jenning, and Woods. The Misses V. Davis and £. M'lnnc; played tho accompaniments. Tho proceedings were brought to a close with a humorous dialogue. ,
