[Specially written for Tub Dominion.) TUESDAY. - / Lentil Soup. . Boiled Mutton. Caper Sauce. Carrots. Turnips.. Potatoes. ■ Apple Dumplings. LENTIL SOUP. One pint of lentils, 1 onion, 1 carrot, 2 •: stalks of celery (if liked), i pints of stock,. pepper and salt to taste. A little mint or sago to flavour. Wash tho lentils, and soak them for 12. hours in cold water. ) Prepare and 6lice the vegetables, and simmer all until ' tender in ths stock. Rub .through a sieve, boil up, and serve. . Cut some stale bread into dice, fry in hot fat, : drain, on paper, and servo with the soup. FOR TO-MORROW. 21b. steak, ox kidney, pastry, stale bread, raisins, 2 eggs,. 1 pint of milk, cream, pearl barley, carrots, turnips. 'Keep the liquor the meat was boiled in, and make into mutton broth to-mor-row.
