The fact is commented on in Toronto, and the hope is expressed that Lord Grey's tenure of the Vice-Royalty will be extended for another year.
THE MILITIA. ' KINGSTON MILITARY COLLEGE. (Rcc. June 0, 10 p.m.) Ottawa, June 0. General Sir John French, who is inspecting in Canada, was much struck with tho Royal Military College at Kingston, Ontario. He favours the compelling of graduates to undergo training and to pass some new test every two or three years. He foresees tho establishment of similar institutions in tho West, probably in Winnipeg. He recommends a more definite and national peace organisation applicable to tho militia.
