SWAMPING OF A BOAT.
SIX DROWNED. FOOLHARDINESS IN THE GULF OF FINLAND. By TelccraDh-Prcss Association—OoDyrlch!. St. Petersburg, June 5. A sad drowning fatality took place in tho Gulf of Finland. Fivo men and three girls belonging to St. Petersburg were out boating, when a steamer was seen to be approaching. The girls implored tho rowers to, pull away from the steamer's course, but tho men foolhardily laughed; and passed within a few yards of the vessel.
The boat was swamped by the wash of the steamer, and three of tho men and the three girls were drowned.
