UNIVERSITY REFORMS.

. $ MR. R.. LEE'S OPINION. A word on university reform was uttered by Mr. K. Lee, chairman of the Education Board, at the Clyde Quay School presentation function last evening. Mr. I.ee recalled a statement made at the recent public meeting on this subject that reform of the ...primary school system was first needed. "On the contrary," said Mr. Lee, "I consider that the best thing that can bo done to-day for education is to reform the university system. If wo have a university system which will enable every man to develop the best faculties with which he is endowed, and bo trained only in those subjects for which he has inclination, taste, and faculty, the primary schools will do their part."
