FOURTEEN OF STYANHILDA'S CREW LOST. Buenos Ayres, June 2. In connection with the wreck of the steel four-masteil barque Swanhilda, 2150 tons gross, which ran ashore on Slat-en Island, off the south-east of the mainland of Tierra del Fuego, Argentine Republic, 14 of the crew were drowned. [A previous cablegram stated that 15 of the crew were saved. The drowned included the captain and his wife. The Swrmhilda was bound from Cardiff (Wales) to Antofagasta (Chile).) ALL NIGHT AT THE PUMPS.
A STEAMER STRIKES A BAR. Sydney, June 3. The- North Coast Steam Navigation Company's steamer Macleay, • 398 tons, bumped on the Macleay Bar, and spraJig a leak. The crow were -at the pumps all night, and the vessel was enabled to re-enter the river. She was beached. The Macleay is a steel screw steamer of 398 tons gross, built in 1883 by Messrs. Forrestt and Son, London.]
