At the beginning of last century Great Britain and Ireland had only 51 hospitals Mr.. Zoltuer has arrived in Wellington aftor au absence of over three years. Ho states that while in tho D.S.A., and visiting his brother in St. Louis, ho look a course in "optics," and graduated with tho degree of 0.D., "Doctor of Optometry Kcfriictionist, and Consulting Optician," in June, 1508. Since then he has travelled through the Uast-crii States ,aml Canada and for twelve months in the. Australian States, to get practical experience in his profession. It is Mr. Mtner's intention to settle in th- North Island and travel through the northern towns, visiting them regularly every two or three months.
