MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

(Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M.)

A short sitting of the Magistrate's Court' was held yesterday morning. Michael John Mulholland charged with indecency was convicted and fined £5, in default 21 days' imprisonment. James Wilson, with three previous convictions for drunkenness, was convicted for tho fourth, and fined 205., in default seven days' imprisonment. Florence Sl'Anally, similarly charged, was fined 55., with tho option of .24 hours' imprisonment. A remand for ten days for medical treatment was granted in the case of Louisa Maitland, charged with' having been found in a state of helpless drunkenness. Eight first offenders for drunkenness were convicted and discharged
