In connection with Mr. Roosevelt's speech at the Guildhall and his advice as to British rule in Egypt, the Sudan, Uganda, and East Africa, many American papers are sarcastic over what they describe as the last proof of Mr. Roosevelt's omniscience.
Mr. W. R. Hearst (a political opponent of the ex-President) is visiting Paris. Ho made a violent denunciation of Mr. Roosevelt as a self-advertising individual seeking to ingratiate himself with the representatives of monarchies and empires.
LUNCHEON BY IRISH MEMBERS. London, June 1. Nationalist members of the House of Commons entertained Mr. Roosevelt nt luncheon. Mr. J. E. Redmond (chairman of the Nationalist party) presided.
