IN COMING; SESSION.

Mr. F. M. B. Fisher, M.P. for Wellington Central, stated yesterday that lie intended to introduce a number of measures this session. Ho proposed to brink down a Bill to amend the Municipal Corporations Act in the direction of extending the franchise so as to make the qualifications the same as is the case for PariiO' mentary elections. It would be on similar lines to the Bill which he introduced two years ago, which passed the Lottot House by a large majority, but was thrown out on the second reading iu the Legislative Council. lie would also bring down a Bill to. repeal the Second Ballot Act, as he had done last year. Another measure which he proposed to try And get amended was the Advances to Workers Act, "which he considered Should make it possible for a worker who has acquired a property on which a house is already built to obtain a mortgage thereon, instead of, as was tlie case at present, only being allowed to borrow for the purposes of the erection of a new dwelling. Of course, he would go on with the Bill which proposed to grant to employees one clcar day's rest in eveiy week. The Bill referred last session to the Labour: Bills Committee, which heard a good deal of evidence, but the Bill never found its way back to tha House.
