SUMMARY AND FORECAST; Moderate southerly winds have prevailed northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and westerlies elsewhere. Tho barometer has continued hish in the north, but a little in the south to-day. The weather has been fine ir. most parts. Present in-* dications are for moderate to strong westerly winds and' fair weather, but with increasing haziness generally. A change in wind and weather is likely to take place in the northern districts after to-morrow, with a falling barometer, and condition* are somewhat unsettled in' the far south to-night, but the barometer will probably, riso again soon.
