A meeting of the New Zealand Trettinj Association was held this afternoon in connection with the Flora Mac case, over which there had been previous correspondence with the Otahuhu Trotting Club. An opinion was received from Mt. r. Vv. Stringer, ICC, stating that he did not think that, on the facts submitted to him, there had been any intention to mislead, as the substitution of the trainer's name for that of the owner in the nominating form was a clerical error for winch tho .club's secretary- took the responsibility, and which had been subsequently rectified. It was resolved:—"That, in view of the opinions forwarded by two solicitors to the Otahiihu Trotting Club, and that of tho association's own solicitor, this association is of opinion that, though a technical breach of the rules was committed, it does not appear from the evidence furnished that there was nny intention to mislead. Therefore, this association agrees that the Otahuhu Trotting Club's decision should stand."

The Forbury Trotting Club wrote stating that it could not see its way to recommend any remission of the terra of disqualification imposed on P. Taylor in connection with the Conocrah case". It was decided to request the Forbnry Park Club to call upon Taylor to. refund hie stakes v;on, or otherwise to hare his name placed in the forfeit list.

A letter was received from D. O'Rourke stating that, in spite of the decision of the association, the Murchison Racing Club had declined to recognise his claim to stakes won by his horse Taranaki. The meeting takes place on the Horowhenua Racing Club's course, which is situated about half a mile from the railway station.

Anglican is to bo shipped to Sydney on June 10 in charge of R. Eager. T. Todd goes over to ride the chestnut gelding at the pony meetings there.

H. Cairns is schooling Starshool, Coir, Mauri, Golden Cairu, and briber; for D. J. Price, at Caulfield, anil is to liavo the tiding of these jumpers in their engagements during the next couple of months.

Sir Frisco has been ■ doing good work at Levin, where he is generally ridden by C. Jenkins. Tho owner of the San l'rancisco horse would have liked Jenkins to ride him in the Flying Handicap ut the Otaki meeting to-morrow, but Jenkins will have to rido Gipsy Belle in that event.

At the Fiteroy Pony meeting, Melbourne, on Slay 23, several New Zealand ponies were well backed, but finished unplaced in their engagements. Merrigal, by Merriwee, . startej favourite in the Novice Handicap and finished last. Jly Love (by Stepniak), who rnced at Miramar as Amy Bock and later as Dearest, ran unplaced in one of tho 14.2 races, and Lady Soult, who raced at iMiramar at 'l'rixic, was unplaced in the second 1-1.2 race.
