DIPHTHERIA.
RAMPANT IN SYDNEY .AND SUBUIIUS. Bj. Telecraph-l'reas Aewciation-Oonyriglit Sydney, May 31. Diphtheria is rampant in the city and suburbs. The accommodation of the hospitals is taxed to the utmost. The disease is, fortunately, in a mild form, and tho mortality lias ,so far been remarkably low. The mjst virulent cases have been those of children up to five years old; older children appear not to suffer so severely.
