WEDNESDAY, Ist JUNE, at 8 p.m. A PUBLIC MEETING to bid farewell il to His Excellency the Governor, Lord I'Junket, l'.C, G.C.M.G., will be held in tho Town Hall on WEDNESDAY NEXT, the Ist JUNE, at S p.m. The Hight Hon. tho Prime Minister, his Worship tho Mayor, the President of tho Chamber of Commerce, and tho Chairman of the Harbour Board, and others will take part in the proceedings, and the Mayors of surrounding Municipalities, and' the Presidents and Chairmen of Local Institutions will also be present. Tho Garrison Band (under the direction of Lieut. T. Herd), by permission of the Defence Department, will play appropriate selections. Mr. E. J. Hill and Mr. Borneo Gardiner will also provide Musical Items. Mr. Maughan Barnctt (City Organist) will preside at the Grand Organ, and Mr. D. A. Kenny will act as accompanist. JNO.
