ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT SHOW,

A meeting. of the general committee of the AVairarapa and East Coast P. and A. Society was . held on Friday at Carterton (writes our correspondent). Mr. AV. Howard Booth (president) was in the chair. Prior to . tho . commencement of tho. business, a, yoto of condolence was passed in connection with the death of King Edward. Tho New Zealand Kennel Club wroto stating that tho following challenge classes had been allotted:; to tho AVairarapa Society.:—Airedales, greyhounds, ami smooth-coated collies. A vote of thanks .was passed to the, AA'ellington Racing Club for its donation of £10, to be 'allotted to events which are calculated to improve' the' breeding of horses, not necessarily thoroughbreds. The Field Instructor of the Department of Agriculture wrote ' that lie bad several varieties of cereals with which lie wanted to test ■ results in various parts of New Zealand, and asked the socicty to help him by getting farmers to experiment with the- .seed.
