Mr. C. ll.' Robinson's' black Orpingtons continue to top tho list in tho Ne\y Zealand Utility- Poultry Club's egglaying competition noiv being held at Papamii. From the beginning or tho month, when' the competition commenced, to May 26, a total of 3158 eggs have been, laid, - the, number laid ill the last week of the period being 1003, as agaiiist 901 for the week ending May 19, and 791 for- tlie week ending May 12. Of the oi pens entered, tho following are leading:—
