The Toronto correspondent of "The Times" telegraphs that Sir William Van Home, chairman Of directors of the Canadian Pacific Railway Company, goes to Australia to advise the Commonwealth Government on the construction of transcontinental railways. Melbourne, May 28. Tho Federal Prime Minister (the Hon. A. Fisher) states, with reference to the cable about Sir W. Van Home, that there is evidently a mistake as to the latter's mission to Australia. The Federal Government; has had no communication with Sir W. Van Home.
