THE CONGRESS. By Toleirrapn—Presa Association—Gopyrlsrht (Rec. May 27, 9.45 p.m.) London, May 27. The international congress on tropical agriculture, hold at Brussels, was a great success. Special interest was shown in tho discussion of numerous important papers, including British colonial papers, especially that by the Sydney agricultural expert, Mr. F. B. Guthrie (chemist of the New South Wales Department of Agriculture), on scientific wheat-growing.

Mr. Malcolm J. R. Dnnstan, Principal of tho South-Eastern Agricultural College, Wye, Kent, was elected president of the International Association of Tropical Agriculture, by acclimation.
