DR. HENRY'S MISSION.
The secretary of the Auckland Mission (the Kcv. Howard Elliott) has forwarded the enclosed report of the mission in the northern city to Mr. H. N; Holmes, tno Wellington secretary. "Our expectations in regard to the difficulty of housing the crowds have beeu abundantly realised. Every evening meeting has been crowded during the week, and we have had to bold overflows. The business men's meeting, which we held for the lirst week in the Chamber of Commerce, was crowded out. The second week we removed to the Opera House, and we have had a daily attendance of between 700 and 800 men, and up to 300 women. The afternoon Bible readings have been attended by between 700 and SOD every day. On Sunday last wc had fearful packs. We had four services. Women's meeting at 2.110 in the Opera House, where wc had 1-Wo' women and turned about 250 away. At ;i.;'o a men's meeting was held in His Slaje.-tv'p Theatre, and 18(10 attended. The after-church rally at 8.30 filled-the Opera House, and there was an overflow at His Slajcstv's Theatre. We have up to date about '1100 decision cards returned, and. altogether a marvellous work is going on. The interest excited has been very great and widespread, but there has been nothing of excitement of an unhealthy character. Needless to say, all the ministers are delighted. This is the greatest visitation of God that has ever fallen upon this city. Mr. and Sirs. Potts have made splendid impressions."
