Melbourne, May 26. Unless the King's eldest son. is proclaimed Prince oi Wales before his birthday (June 28), the day will not bo declared a, public holiday. Sydney, May 26. Owing to tho King's Birthday being a statutory holiday, a difficulty is likely to arise ovw tho King's desire for its non-observance this year. WARSHIPS' SALUTE. (Rec. May 26, 11.10 p.m.) London, May 26. The warships will fire salutes to-day and on June 3, but will not be dressed, and no other form of celebration of the birthdays will bo used in 1910.
