The Primary Election Bill —a milder substitute for Governor Hughes's Billhas passed the Now York State Senate, with Tammany's help. It is generally considered that tho Bill is inadequate and is likely to bo vetoed. It is expected that the, Republican bosses wil] recompense Tammany by defeating Bills against race-track gambling.
