A satisfied customer generally becomes a permanent customer, and we want to cultivate regular customers. A satisfied customer talks, and so does tho dissatisfied one, but wo would rather have the advertising of the former than the latter. On business grounds there are cogent reasons why. we should do our utmost to satisfy every customer, but the best devised machinery cannot be trusted to run for ever without mishap. Some trifling thing, some little oversight, and there is trouble. Tho same thing occurs with a groat industrial organisation—mistakes will occur to emphasise the imperfections of human efforts, but in a well-ordered concern tho mistakes will be rectified. We should tako it as a great favour if customers would promptly communicate with tho Manager on any dissatisfaction that may bo felt, so that we may remove all cause for complaint.
