ONSLOW ESTIMATES.
INCH EASE OF KATES. The adjourned .monthly meeting of tho Onslow Borough was resumed last evening. There were present the Mayor (Mr. J. G. Harkncss), Councillors B. Lyuneberg, F. Kicrnan, W. Bowden, G. W. Darvall, A. Ferguson, C. Aplin, E. S. Stafford, and W. Plimmor. Estimates for tho'year were considered in committee. The general rate was fixed at bid. in tho J?, on the unimproved value, which will produce .£1775, the amount estimated to be required being .£1631. The rate last year was lid. Other rates were agreed to as fol-. lows-.—Works' loan, 13-01 d. (same as last year); hospital and charitable aid, 11-litd. (last year 5-G4d.); Ilutt fioad loan, 1-lGd (same as last year); ICaiunrra drainage loan, -}d (same as last year). Lighting rate: Ngaio ward, jtl; lfliandn.llah. 7-32 d.; Kniwarra, 5-32 d. (increased). Accounts tolalling X1J.212 were passed for payment.
