BOUNDARY TREATY.
AMERICAN-CANADIAN LITTORAL. By Telegraph-Press Association-!— Copyright (Rec. May 23, 10.40 p.m.) New York, May 23. Tho United States Secretary of State, Mr. P. C. Knox, anil the British Ambassador, Mr. Jas. Bryco, have signed a treaty defining the American-Canadian boundary through Passamaquoddy Bay the Grand Mauau Channel. [Passamaquoddy Bay is an inlet of tho Bay of Fundy, between the province of New • Brunswick (Canada) and Maine (United States). It is well-sheltered and deep, is never closed by ice, and contains several good harbours in Deer and Campobello Islands. Tho Bay is 12 miles long and 8 miles wide at' the. entrance* It opens out into the Bay of Fundy, in which, slightly to tho south, is tho Canadian-owned island Grand Manan Tho channel referred to , runs between i the island and the coast of Maine.] j
