Count Jaqucs de Lesseps, tho second aerial conqueror of the Channel, who flew in a Bleriot monoplane from Calais to Dover in thirty minutes, was prevented by wind from attempting the Teturn flight from England to France. Nevertheless, ho has been awarded tho Ruinnrt prize of ,£SOO, which was originally offered for an aeroplano. crossChannel trip and return. TWO-MEN PLIGHT OF 50 MILES. (Rec. May 23, 10.40 p.m.) Paris, May 23. Maurice Farman aeroplaned with a passenger fifty miles, from Versailles to Etampes.
