King's Nurse a New Zealaniier. One of the local papers is informed that Nurso Fletcher, who was one of the nurses in attendance on tlio Into' King at Biarritz and in London during the illness, which proved fatal tn him, is a native of New Zealand.' Her father was the. Rev. Fletcher, who was in tho early days engaged in missionary work in tho Auckland district., After leaving Now Zealand, Miss Fletcher, lived ill Sydney for some years, and from there' went to the Old Country. It was a curious coincidence that tho Harley Street specialist who.was called' in at the end.of the late King's illness, Dr. Sinclair Thompson, is also . a, New 1 Zcalandcr, and a meniliei; of a well-, known Dunedin family. , ,

Miss Sylvia Buchanan, who returned from England a few days ago, is staying with her sister, Sirs. Richmond Fell, at Nelson. Mr., Mrs., and Miss. Hill, of Napier, are leaving next month for a visit to England, travelling via America. Mrs. G. G. Steadj of Christehurch," is staying with friends in Hawko's Bay. Mrs. Sommerville is - spending her holidays at Christehurch, where she is the guest of Mrs. Deans.
Miss Mabel Tendall returned yesterday_ from a holiday spent in Australia. Air, and Mrs. Brandon returned "from Australia by tlio tilimaroa yesterday.
