At a meeting of the General Committee of the Wellington Retail Tobacconists' Association, held in Armit's rooms, on Tuesday evening, it wr.s decided to engage a professional secretary outside the trade, ami the choice fell uiwn Mr. H. Committees were set up to draft rules, arrange a uniform tariff, etc. The secretary was instructed to issue a notice calling on tobacconists to close to-morrow—the day of the King's fmiornl.
