ORDER OF SUCCESSION.
The number of persons in the order of succession to the throne of the United Kingdom, now filled by George V, counting only those descended from George 111, is -108. First come twelve descendants of King Edward, viz., the sons and daughters of the new King and his sisters and their children. Next, there are the descendants not already specified of Queen Victoria, numbering 73, viz., the ttaugfctats oi Vae Diiko oi Coliurg and their children, the Duke of Coniiaiight and his children, etc. The German Emperor is 30th on the whole list, and Quvon Victoria of Spain 83rd. Then come 24 descendants of George 111, not already included, viz., the great grandsons, etc!, of sons ymingor than the Duke of Kent, Queen Victoria's father. The very last on the list, strange to say, is the new Queen Mary, as great granddaughter of George 111 s youngest son, the Duke of Cambridge. ■
