KARORI AFFAIRS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Karors Borough Council, adjourned from May 10, was held last evening, there being present: The Mayor (Mr. C. I. Dasent), and Councillors Cathie, Kaine, Spiers* Walmsley, Standen, Burn, Wcdde, and Welling. _ , A. communication from the Hockey Association, accepting the conditions laid down by the council with regard to the playing of hockey matches on the recreatiori ground, at JBIS for tho two playing grounds, was received. It was decided to refer to the Public Works Committee of the t council, fotf report, a letter from a resident of Standen Street, wherein it .was requested that certain street repairs be carried out bv the council. The question of repairing this particular street, said the Mayor, involved the genera principle of thjj council's liability to the owners of certain sections with respect to any future ac Uon which might be taken m connection with the formation of new levels. •V discussion took place on the car" question.
