Tho inspection by members of the Gon-ville-Castlccliff \Tramway Board of the route laid down in tho engineer's scheme for a tramway from tho town to the sea beach resulted in a decision to slightly deviate the line at this Castlecliff end, io that cars can be run right on to tho beach. In pursuance of his campaign in tho direction of attempting! to form a New Zealand Labour Party Mr. D. M'Laren, MJ?., visits Wanganui next week, when ho will deliver an address, and confer with local labour people regarding matters in connection with the next general election. Mr. C. ■ J. London, a member of. the staff of tho local branch of the Bank of New Zealand has been transferred to Hnnterville.
