Christchurch, May 12. At the Supreme Court to-day, Frank Reed appeared for sentence for. theft of moneys of the Lyttelton Pirates/ Football Club, and was admitted to probation for three years. A condition of .probation was that he should'repay the club at the rate of £5 half-yearly. Charles R. Jl'Pherson, set forward for sentence for theft from tho Spiritualists' Church, was sentenced to six months'- imprisonment, and declared to be an habitual criminal. Jas. Carney, convicted of theft from tho person, was sentenced to six months' imprisonment, and his Honour recommended that he. should be sent to Invercargill Gaol where, ho understood, there was a separate department for those not previously convicted. Harry Shaw, charged with ■■forgorjV was admitted to probation for twelve months. The sessions havo closed. : v
