CIRCULAR LETTER BY BISHOP GRIMES.. . Following is the text of a circular lefte* forwarded by Bishop Grimes to the priests of his diocese:— v "Rev. Dear Father ami Beloved Children in Jesus. Christ,—We have already united our grief with that of millions who keenly kd the loss of our great good King. , Our hearts' have gone out in pnrrow ' and sympathy to tho widowed Queen and. Royal Household. Wo have besought the, God of All Mercy to comfort them in tho hour of their bitter distress, and now, as loyal subjects and true, let us not be unmindful of the duty imposed upon us by our holy faith,' no less than by the instincts of our hearts. In. the midst of our sorrow, let us not forget him upon whom tho mantle of Royalty has fallen. . Let us turn to the King of Kings, to Him from Whom all power descends, and through Whom kings reign, and pray that He may guide, guard, and defend him who is now , King and Emperor'of the British Empire and its immense dependencies. May lie, like his lamented father, ever prove the friend atH father of his people. By. his wisdom, prudence, and tactful counsels may.he promote the grace and prosperity of the Empire, contribute to and maintain the welfare and tranquillity of nations. Wherefore, I ask you to join in novena public prayers, beginning on Whit Sunday and continuing until the following Monday inclusively.
