EIGHT • INCINERATIONS TO DATE. "Everyone who witness tho cremation process comes away a firm believer in it," said one of Wellington's leading undertakers to a Douiniox reporter yesterday. The reporter made further inquiries It was ascertained that up, till the present there have been eight : incinerations at tho "Karon Crematorium—two within the last week. Niches are being arranged for in the church for the reception of the little caskets containing the ashes of tho departed, at. tho will, of course, of the relatives. These caskets, now being made to order by the undertakers, are made of the raror woods, about eight inches square, and are surmounted with a silver plate (inscribed, if desired) with (he name of the deceased, and the date of the cremation. Tho undertaker pointed out that in such cases where tho remains of a person were desired to be transported from one country to another, tho claims of cremation must be recognised.
