A cook at a Birmingham hospital died from burns received through the ignition of a jar of turpentine nnd beeswax placed on (lie kitchen hob.—An old nmn and his daughter were found burnt to death in a kitchen at Bilston with a. broken paraffin lamp lying beside them. Tenders arc invited by the Commandcr-in-Ohief of ll.lt. ships and vessels, Australian Station, for the complete overhaul and repair of the Admiralty Boat-slip, on the North Shore, Auckland.
